VFD Group kicked off its 2018 Graduate trainee program on September 10, 2018 after a rigorous 3 staged selection process that included a computer-based test, group assessment and an interview. 21 out of the 8,000 applicants scaled through all stages of the recruitment process and were consequently admitted into VFD Group 2018 Graduate Trainee Program. The program comprised of 12 weeks on-the-job training which included an accounting boot-camp, a sales boot-camp and series of soft and hard skill training.
The Graduate trainees rotated through various departments and subsidiaries of the group which includes;
Anchoria Asset Management (AAM) – a specialist provider of active investment products and services to institutional and individual investors.
VFD Microfinance Bank – A dynamic, Lagos-based financial services institution operating in the micro-finance banking sector.
Everdon Bureau De Change – A Dun and Bradstreet certified Foreign Exchange company headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.
Dynasty Real Estate (DRE) – Which provides services in real estate development, financing and property advisory, all geared toward meeting clients’ aspirations for property ownership at reasonable prices.
Drelugs Limited – An Electrical, Mechanical Services and Consulting firm operating in the built environment.
Germaine Automobile Centre (GAC) An integrated automobile outfit located in Lagos, Nigeria, with specialty in vehicle sales (new and pre-owned), spare part sales, vehicle servicing, vehicle body work and vehicle delivery.
The program came to an end with a presentation by the Graduate Trainees to the Managing Directors of the various subsidiaries and the Management Committee of VFD Group on selected topics.
After a thorough assessment of the performance of the participants in the past 12 weeks, 16 out of the 21 participants emerged successful and were absorbed into The Group’s workforce.
